North America sanitary ware export certifications

In the U.S. and Canadian markets, the vast majority of sanitary regulations require products sold to be certified by a third party and carry an appropriate certification mark to help an inspector or official identify compliance with the regulations.  
 
There are three main sanitary regulations in Canada and the United States: National PlumbingCodeof Canada, NPC, International Plumbing Code, IPC andUniform Plumbing Code, UPC).  
 
The purpose of each sanitary ware regulation is to establish minimum standards for the protection of public safety, health, property and public interest by controlling the design, installation and maintenance of sanitary ware systems and their components.
