Neutral Salt Test For Nano Titanium Stainless Steel Sink

Nano titanium stainless steel sink is new and popular products in recent years, but it has more strict and special quality standard because of its unique colorful coating. The nautral salt test is one of important tests to determine if the sinks meet the requirements.

Firstly, the sample shall be supported between 15 and 30 degree from the vertical. Then, the salt solution shall be prepared by dissolving 5 parts by mass of sodium chloride in 95 parts of water and it shall also be in the pH range from 6.5 to 7.2. 

Besides, the exposure zone of salt spray chamber shall be maintained at 35 +1.1 -1.7ºC and for each 80 cm2 of horizontal collection area, based on an average run of at least 16 hours, there shall be collected form 1.0-2.0 ml of solution per hour.

After being subjected to the corrosion test of 24 hours, the sample shall be removed and gently washed in clean running water (warmer than 38 ºC) and then immediately dried. There shall be no surface defect on the sample to satisfy the quality standard.
