Abrasion Resistance Test For Nano Titanium Stainless Steel Sink

The abrasion resistance is one of important tests for nano titanium stainless steel sink. Before the testing, we need to prepare coated panel with three circular areas, approximately 25mm in diameter for each one. Then, the operator will measure the thickness of the coating and record the average of each set of measurements as the determined thickness.
During the testing, the coated panel shall be properly positioned in the tester and one of marked areas be centered under the guide tube. The operator shall pour standard sand into the funnel and withdraw the gate, then allow it to flow through the guide tube and impinge on the coated panel. The sand shall be collected in a container located at the bottom of the tester.
This operation shall be repeated until the coating in a 4mm diameter area has worn through to the substrate. Be careful to control the testing temperature of 24℃and the humidity of 48%.
Finally, the abrasion resistance value shall be calculated according to ASME standard for plumbing fixture to check if the nano titanium stainless steel sink passed the test.
