How a ceramic sink broke in daily use

A ceramic sink could be broken in daily use by several factors. Cracks can start as minor hairline fractures and eventually grow to major splits through the sink. Another factor is chips or scratches on the ceramic coating, which can expose the underlying metal or clay and make it more prone to corrosion or erosion.
