Ceramic sink production steps
2023-03-28 16:20:001. Raw material preparation: The main raw materials are kaolin, feldspar, and quartz, which are mixed and filtered in a water pump.
2. Stirring the clay: The clay is stirred continuously and transferred to the production molds by pipes.
3. Molding: The clay is shaped into the desired form of the sink by using either high pressure casting or standard molding methods.
4. First time drying: The sink is dried in natural air or under a fan until it reaches 60% to 70% dryness. Then, the faucet hole, overflow hole, and drainer hole are made.
5. Repair: The sink is manually repaired by workers to check and fix any defects in size, shape, or surface.
6. Second time drying: The sink is sent to a space above the kilns where it is dried further to 70% to 80% dryness.
7. Semi-finished product inspection: The sink is cleaned with a sponge and kerosene and checked for any air bubbles, pinholes, or cracks under a light. If there is any defect, it is returned for reproduction.
8. Glazing: The sink is coated with a layer of glaze that gives it color and gloss.
9. Firing: The sink is heated in a kiln at high temperatures to fuse the clay and glaze together and make it hard and durable.
10. Final product inspection: The sink is checked again for any flaws or damages after firing. If it passes the quality standards, it is packed and shipped.
